  1. Begin with an idea that is appealing or one that will hold the interest of the reader.  Therefore, think about a concept or idea that inspires you or brings out your passion.
  2. Your characters are vital to your story. Each character should be unique and enticing not just for you but for the readers. So, develop distinct characters that are suitable for the audience you have in mind.
  3. Plan the plot before you even begin to write. Think about the twists to the plot as well as the climax. Therefore, you must have an engaging storyline. Do not create storylines that are predictable.
  4. Use vivid images that will add to the details as this is important to keeping your readers interested.
  5. Create a storyline that will engage your readers.
  6. Use interesting dialogue. Always use a conversational tone.
  7. Show the readers what is happening in your story, do not tell them. Use conversation and describe specific instances.
  8. Finally, edit your story. Make as many changes as you want to because this may improve your story.
