1. Create an immersive fantasy world by establishing consistent rules for magic, inventing religions, and mythology, and designing political systems and factions. Add depth as this makes the story feel real and engaging.

2. Introduce a central quest that drives the plot forward as characters search for magical objects, battle evil, and embark on a journey of self-discovery. This quest should be central to the story and keep the reader engaged.

3. Develop unique and flawed heroes. Complex protagonists with emotional depth and weaknesses, despite magical powers, inspire empathy and make the story more relatable.
